  Author: Rodrigo Vilhena

Date: 2009

Description: The video LRO – Landing Reconnaissance Orbiter is integrated into the exhibition Solaris VIII and XIX: Reconnaissance and Landing and was displayed in the first room of the exhibition space, imagined as a center for research and data collection on the planet Solaris. The installation consists of one video and one painting. Both pieces record a portion of land. The painting is a representation of the possible landing site, the video is about the morphological recognition of the place at different levels. This is a simulation of a probe that will go to Solaris to discover the best places to land. The video LRO is an appropriation of an animation done by NASA and manipulated by Rodrigo Vilhena.
