Computed tomography (CT) images detain a high contrast between rigid and soft tissues. Bone structures of the right knee joint are clearly distinguished from the surrounding musculature and fatty tissues. By viewing several contiguous cross-sections, as in this video, a global appreciation of the knee's anatomy is formed.
